Her mother married William Yates 27 Nov 1815 in Scarcliffe, Derbyshire, and Eliza changed her name to Eliza Yates. Her mother and William Yates had four other children. Eliza Yates first married William Bennett probably after 1830, who died in 1837, and then Joseph Hallam (1840), and after his death Benjamin Hughes (1856)! Have not yet found marriage of William Bennet and Eliza Yates, Do not know where he was from. Checked Bolsover, there are no Bennett marriages 1830-1837 except William Bennett-Ann Roger 5 Oct 1834. Apparently her son Benjamin in 1852, while married to Joseph Hallam, was in reality fathered by Benjamin Hughes, who she did marry after Joseph's death in 1856.
