John Whitehead b 20 Jul 1682 in Bolsover. He married twice, first to Elizabeth Richardson 20 Oct 1699, whose christian name was mistakenly written as Katharina by the priest. There were 3 weddings at the same time, two Elizabeths and a Katharina, and the priest must have exchanged the names. They had one child, Elizabeth b 29 Nov 1701; d 16 Dec 1701. Elizabeth Richardson died 10 Dec 1702, most likely in childbirth, one would think. John Whitehead then remarried, to Elizabeth Rhodes on 19 Aug 1703. Again there are problems with the records, in that Elizabeth's name, while correct in parish records, has been mistakenly transcribed as "Mary Rhodes" in the Bishop's Transcripts. They had 3 children up to 1709 (I didn't check afterwards), John Whitehead b 4 Jun 1704; d before 1709; Thomas Whitehead b 15 Sep 1706; John Whitehead b 6 Apr 1709.
