Lot of unknowns with this guy. Being as his wife was born in 1643, I would estimate he was born around 1642, father Abraham Dent, mother Agnes. Also estimate that he is the eldest son, being as father Abraham only names him in his will. Married relatively late in life 6 May 1684 at Stonehouse-in-Dent to Isabel Mason, Quaker wedding. No sign of the birth record of his son John Dent, most probably born illegitimately around 1684, and which probably provoked his wedding. Second son Abraham born in 1685 but died as an infant. Not sure what happened to him, last trace is when his wife died in 1699, and he was living in Dent.
