B Stretton 1828, christened 14 Sep 1828, N Wingfield. In 1841, he was living in Shirland with his parents. M 3 Apr 1848 (source Ashover spreadsheet) to Mary Flint in Ashover. In 1851 he was living in Shirland with his father and his own wife Mary and son Joseph.
After that, he has disappeared. Not obvious anywhere in 1861 or 1871 census. In 1861, there is a John Goodall with a wife Mary (apparently from Notts) and daughter Ann living in Eccleshall Bierlow (Sheffield) - it could be them, but why wasn't daughter Ann on the 1851 census?
The John Goodall in 1891 living in Chesterfield, with Mary his wife is most likely NOT ours. So I don't believe that he is the ggg grandfather of Elizabeth Marrison. Similarly for the John who died in Chesterfield in 1899. All this part needs to be re-done, getting certificates. As far as I am concerned, John Goodall and his wife Mary disappear off the radar between 1851 and 1861. Their son Joseph seems to be living elsewhere and working as a miner in the 1861 census.
Checked deaths after 1851 in Shirland BTs, not found.
