Ann Slack born 28 May 1810 and baptised 17 June 1810 in Ashover 1041018 (PR). In 1841 census was living in Overton with husband Richard Goodall. In 1851 census for Ashover she was living in Brown Lane, Ashover and was head of family, as Richard had died 1 October 1845. In 1861 census still living in Brown Lane, Ashover, status now "W" (widow). In 1871 census, living in Milltown (Brown Lane not specified, although it runs through Milltown, so presumably still at same address). in 1881 census, still in Milltown, and there is a comment "Kept by her ....", could be "sons", but she appears to be living alone. According to 1891 census, Ann was living with son Samuel and his wife Harriet, her age is listed as "80 years old" & a widow. Census taken at Butterly Hill, Ripley, England. She died 5 Jun 1892, at Butterley, Ripley, and was buried 8 Jun 1892 at Ashover.
