Checked BT on line at familysearch, 1702601-5, mostly illegible around 1807-1809, found a James Sach baptised 27 March 1808, image #642, parents Robert and Frances. The years 1810-1812 are missing. The PR though is good quality and is online at Essex Record Office, http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk/ login: jonixima@gmail.com usual password.

There were 2 Sach/Saich families in Takeley around 1810, one with parents Robert and Frances, the other with parents William Sach and Maria Day. This James Saich's parents were Robert and Frances, this can be seen from the 1841 census, when James and wife Elizabeth Chapple are living with Robert Saich.

Robert and Frances (could not find their marriage anywhere):
Mary Ann Saich b 8 Jun 1806
James Saich b 27 Mar 1808
John Saich b 25 Feb 1810
James Saich b 8 Mar 1812

William Sach and Maria Day (married 1805 in Takeley)
James Sach b 22 Apr 1810
Robert Sach b 18 Sep 1814
John Sach b 16 Mar 1817
Mary Sach b1820

There is separate data on ancestry
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/tree/24826434/family?cfpid=1606437866
which shows the family of William Sach and Maria Day, who apparently died in 1821 (William) and 1826 (Maria).

The is also an article at http://tlhs.org.uk/James_Sach.htm, about a James Sach b1810 in Takeley, ho was sentenced to death in 1827 for stealing a sheep. This was subsequently commuted to 14 years and deporatation to Australia. So clearly this James is not "our" James.

My personal idea is that "our" James Saich was born in 1808 to parents Robert and Frances. This would fit in well with the census returns, which all indicate him being born in 1809. The main problem with this reasoning is that Robert and Frances appeared to have another James Saich in 1812. There are however no deaths of a James Saich in the period 1808-1812, so perhaps they simply baptised him again.

Not 100% sure about his death, which was subsequent to the 1881 census, when he was 72. There is a James Saich who died 4Q1887 aged 75 (so born 1812), and another who died 3Q1900 aged 96 (so born 1804). I believe that "our" James died in 1887. This is supported by the fact that he can't be found in the 1891 census.
