Born 15 July 1764, father Richard. I am fairly certain that the mother was Phebe, and not Hanna as reported in some extracts. The reasoning is that Richard and Phebe seem to produce children every 2 years from 1760 to 1782, the only missing year being 1764, exactly the year of Richard's birth. Also that they don't otherwise have a son called Richard, like the father. Other supporting information is that there are no local marriages of a Richard to anyone in the timeframe except for Richard and Phebe in 1758. Going back to the previous generation, there is only one Richard of a suitable age.
