Elizabeth Buxton, second wife of Thomas Johnson. Born 17 Aug 1889 in Sutton-in-Ashfield, baptised 16 Sep 1889 at St Mary Magdelene, Sutton. Parents George Buxton and Sarah Ann Quick. Married Frederick Caunt of Skegby Jul-Sep 1908. (Skegby to Sutton 2 miles). Had three children with him, Harry (b1909), Fred (b1911) and Edith (b1914, d1915). Harry would eventually go into business with his half-brother Thomas b1918 and Joseph Johnson's daughter Emily's husband Jim Patilla to take over the J&T Johnson enterprise. On death of husband Frederick Caunt in action in France in 1916, she married Thomas Johnson in 2 Apr 1917. They had 3 children. Tom junior (b1918), Iris (b1921), Margaret (b1927). She died 14 Dec 1964 and is buried in Tibshelf cemetery with husband Thomas.
