On Jacob Johnson baptism records, his father William Johnson is described as an Innkeeper and Labourer. This information is also included in his son John Johnson's wedding certificate in 1851. In 1841 William and his wife Sarah were living with children Benjamin (b1824), Frederick (b1827), Jacob (b1829) and Sarah (b1832) at Newbold. In 1851, William and his wife have moved to Whitwick and are living with unmarried son Jacob (b1829). William died 3 Dec 1851 at Whitwick.
