The only 2 John Berkins born around 1759 apear to be from Nottinghamshire or London, with Nottingham being the most likely, baptised 17 Feb 1758 at St Mary, Nottingham, parents Joseph and Ann. Some ancestry trees have John's parents as John Berkin (1739-1821) and Elizabeth Lowe (1733-1800). John and Elizabeth though married 6 Sep 1761 in Coleorton and there is no trace of any children. Married Sarah Toone at Coleorton 28 May 1792. As far as I can see, there were only 2 children, Thomas b1792 and James b1795. John Berkin died 30 Jul 1822 at the age of 63 (b1759).
