In 1855, her mother Mary married Edward Marshall (brother of John Marshall), and so Mary Anne was registered in the 1861 and 1871 census returns as Mary Ann Marshall. She reverted to her real name when she married in 1876. m 4Q1876 at Hucknall to Frederick Johnson No children. d 4Q1891 at Long Eaton. There is also a second possible death in Long Eaton of a Mary Johnson in 1895, but her burial was at Breaston, so I believe the 1891 death is the correct one.
