Thomas Johnson b16 Jul 1884, christened 15 Aug 1884, died 19 Sep 1968 (death data from Alan Stevenson, whose wife, June Maguire (daughter of Dorothy Johnson and James McGuire) is the granddaughter of Thomas Johnson b1884). Together with brother Joseph (b1878) Thomas formed J&T Johnson, Chrysanthemum Growers of Tibshelf.

Married Mary Watson (daughter of Stephen Watson) 9 Feb 1907. According to the marriage certificate, she lived at 79 St Thomas Row, Tibshelf, while Thomas Johnson lived at 80 St Thomas Row. They had 3 children together, Dorothy (b1907), Olive Ida (b1908) and Stephen Reid (Sonny) (b1910).

In 1911 census, Tom Johnson is still a coalminer.

June Maguire's mother, Dorothy Johnson, remembers our grandmother Edith Johnson Goodall looking after Dorothy, Olive Ida & Stephen when their mother Mary Watson died in Nov 1914. Cynthia Goodall Dabb also remembers this.

Married 2 Apr 1917 to Elizabeth Caunt nee Buxton in Mansfield, whose husband, Frederick Caunt, had died in action on the Somme in 1916. Thomas and Elizabeth had 3 childen together, Tom junior (b1918), Iris (b1921) and Margaret (b1927).

Tom Johnson (b1884) was in attendance at the death of his mother Sarah, 9 Mar 1929, at 80 St Thomas's Row, Tibshelf.

In the 1939 census, he is part of J. & T. Johnson, of Tibshelf, chrysanthemum growers. The other partner was brother Joseph Reed Johnson.

He died 19 Sep 1968 in Tibshelf.
