Mary Eliza Knowles, born between April-June 1855 in Upper Cam, Dursley, Gloucestershire (ref: Apr-Jun 1855, Dursley, 6a 178), baptised 26 Jun 1855 at Dursley (ref: non conformist d3187/2/4), father John Knowles - a Weslyan Minister of Lambourne, Berks b1824, mother Mary Eliza Louisa Gough b1831, who married 5 Aug 1854 at St John the Baptist, Bedminster. In 1861, she was a visitor at Bisley, no sign of her parents, who I think may have emigrated to Brazil. No sign of her in 1871. In 1891, she was married to William Lomas and had had 3 children in Brazil with him. She died shortly afterwards. Died aged 35 between July-Sep 1891 at Alkington, Berkeley (ref: Jul-Sep 1891, Thornbury, 6a 116), buried at Berkeley, 15 Sep 1891.
