Born in Barnes, London in 1914, he moved to Derby as a young man, and was living in Stenson Rd Derby when he met his future wife Bep Lomas. Married in Derby in 1941, after marriage they went to Hucknall, where he worked at the Aerodrome, possibly for Rolls Royce. From Hucknall they moved to Crewe (Rolls Royce) From Crewe he moved to Kensington 1946-1952, then from 1952 -1958 to Ruislip. while there he worked at Hythe Rd, Willesden. From Nov 1958-1970 he worked for Rolls Royce in Crewe, before moving to Yelvertoft (near Daventry, Northants) in 1970. In January 1971 he died of thrombosis, after a operation on his leg. He was cremated at Coventry, then his ashes were moved to Golders Green cemetery, next to those of his parents. Plot T3 or T4. |
