Baptised 1 Nov 1829 at Farewell St Bartholomew, near Lichfield, parents John and Margaret. His address is given as Hazledown Cottage. As far as I can tell, they lived in Cross in Hand Lane, near Lyncroft Cottage, between Farewell and Lichfield, in the Parish of St Chad. In 1841, he appears to be at a school in the St Mary and St Chad area of Stafford, in Eastgate St. By 1851, he was living in Burton and working as a Sawyer. Married Mary Clarke 7 Jul 1851 at Armitage, Staffs. Lived the rest of his life at Burton Upon Trent. Children: Hephzibah b1852; Mary Ann b1853; Herbert b1857; Maria b1859; Arthur b1863. Died 1Q1893 at Burton, buried (probably) 12 Mar 1893
