Don't know why they married at Shifnal, as it appears later that Elizabeth is also from Armitage. child Ann Whetton bp 1 Nov 1835, born Armitage, baptised Lichfield St Mary 1841 living in Walsall with wife Elizabeth b1810 and daughter Anne 1851 living in Willenhall, but born in Lichfield (5m Armitage), no children 1861 living in Pelsall (6m NW Willenhall), born Armitage, wife Elizabeth also born Armitage 1812 After that, no trace of either Henry or his wife.
Receivd a "settlement" in 1832, in which he states that the place of his father's settlement was Saint Mary, Lichfield, and that mother now receiving weekly relief from Lichfield while living in Armitage. (FHL 1519691/5 p536)
