b 6 Apr 1753, parents Joseph and Ann. m 13 Oct 1778 to Jane Turner. At marriage time, he was a Farmer from Stretton, Jane was aged 20 and married with consent of her father William Turner. A witness was a certain William Page, who was not the father and not a brother. There were at least 2 Page families in Stretton. There was a John Page bp 6 Apr 1753 at Burton St Modwen, parents Joseph and Ann, and also a John Page bp 23 Sep 1752, parents John and Mary, but he died 17 Dec 1755, so the John Page who married must have been the son of Joseph and Ann. They don't appear to have had a son called William, whereas John and Mary did! d 25 Sep 1807 Stretton
