b about 1684 most likely at Dent, and most likely illegitimate, before parents marriage 6 May 1684. mQ 8 May 1707 at Garsdale to Ann Robinson, bride and groom both apparently from Dent. Why then was the marriage in Garsdale: this would indicate the bride was from there, but the marriage certificate says she too was from Dent, and the Ann Robinson I have found was also born in Dent. Wedding certificates: Piece 1547 #22/37, Piece 1246 #354/643 Only seems to be the one child, Agnes bQ 30 May 1710 at Dent, Piece 1547 #10/37 dQ 29 May 1720 at Dent: Piece 1547 28/37 will: named: John Dent (b 1684 circa, my 7th great grandfather) wrote a will 27 May 1720: "John Dent of Scales (between Broadmire and Mirehouse) in Kirthwaite, Dent, yeoman. To his daughter Agnes Dent (jpl note: b 30 May 1710, my 6th great grandmother) £10 when she is 21 and a cupboard and a chest; if she dies before them, then to his wife Ann (Robinson, b 1686, my 7th great grandmother) who is sole executrix.
