Piece 1068 #91/96 From Aysgarth in Wensleydale (data from "The ThistlewaiteFamily.pdf", p195) m 4 Sep 1751 at Lea Yeat, Piece 1547 #24/37 to Ann Thistlewaite, daughter of William of Harborgill. children: Alice Thistlethwaite born about 1855 at Aysgarth (probably), aged 70, single, died 11 Jul 1825 at Hobsons, buried 17 Jul 1825 at Lea Yeat. Jeremiah Thistlethwaite born in 1757 at Aysgarth (probably), married 31 Mar 1779 to Margaret Mason, daughter of Anthony Mason. Ann Thistlethwaite born about 1760 at Aysgarth (probably), married 26 Nov 1783 at Lea Yeat to Matthew Middlebrook, died 23 Oct 1842 at Lea Yeat. William Thistlethwaite, b 19 Sep 1763 at Dent, Piece 1547 #16/37, married 2 Oct 1811 at Garsdale to Isabel Wynn of Garsdale Piece 1197 #29/33, died 5 Nov 1830 at Stonehouse aged 67, Piece 1133 #232/251. The Thistlethwaite book concludes that as no other children are registered in Dent, that they must have been born previously in Aysgarth, and that they moved to Dent around or just vefore 1763. Note that death registered in the Parish Records at Dent due to Smallpox of a Margaret Thistlethwaite 5 Mar 1751, daughter of Christopher, is nothing to do with this Christopher, most likely he is the Christopher who married in 1734 at Dent to Elizabeth Lamb. d 31 Oct 1794 at Hobsons in Dent aged 74 (p196 of above book).
