Shared note

Born 22 Oct 1790 at Shover, parents Richard and Elizabeth.
Christened 25 Oct 1790 at Ashover.
Most probably married 9 May 1808 to Job Walker at Duffield. No idea why they married 20 miles away in Duffield, as both were apparently from Ashover. There is another Mary Goodall wedding in 1815 at Ashover, to a William Bingham.
Children with Job Walker:
William 1809-1859
Richard 1811-1880
Elizabeth 1814-1901
Mary 1817-
Lucy 1820-
Interesting that the eldest child William, who married Harriet Wilcockson, had a son in 1848 called Richard Edwin Goodall Walker, which would seem to confirm the Goodall connection and lend credence to the Duffield marriage.

The 1851 census for Ashover has a Mary Walker, widow, born in Ashover and living alone, aged 60. The 1861 census has her described as a pauper, which is strange, why wasn't she living with one of the children? For 1841 in Ashover, I couldn't find Mary, ther nearest is a Mary Walker b1781, so not "ours".

Mary died 1863, buried 12 Apr 1863 at Ashover.
