Difficult to find marriage to Charles frederick Smith, I suspect there was a typing error, and the actual marriage was between Mary Ann Brown and Charles Frederick S Girdleston, which took place 13 Mar 1870. The "S" in his name was probably Smith, and the Girdleston reference was perhaps a place name. Children (all born at Nottingham): John A b Jun 1870; Charles F b1872; Elizabeth Ann b 21 Dec 1873; Percy William b1877; James Arthur 1879; Leonard b1882; Bertie b1884; Samuel Gordon b1889, Harold b Jan 1891.
