Shared note

Eldest child of Joseph Reed and Sarah Rushton, b Oct 1849 apparently in Worthington, baptised 6 Jan 1850 at Ashby Weslyan Methodist. The name of the place of birth is not clear on the baptism record, it could be Ravenstone, but later census returns variously state Coleorton, Gelsmoor and Worthington.
m Charles Goodard 11 Jun 1872 at Breedon. First they lived at Ashby de la Zouch, where children Lizzie (b1873) and Emily (b1875) were born, before moving to Derby, where children Charles W (b1878), Richard Henry (Harry) (b 3 Sep 1880), Frederick (b1884), Joseph Herbert (1887) and Florence Edith (b1889) were born.
Lived next door to sister Kate and her husband Richard Everett. Most likely, Charles Goddard and Richard Everett were friends, both from the Market Bosworth area of Leicestershire.
d Dec 1920 at Derby.
