b 19 Sep 1691 at Abbots Bromley, parents Stephen and Elizabeth. m 16 Nov 1718 to Maria Marshall at Abbots Bromley. m 15 Sep 1729 to Isabella Stockley at Abbots Langley, recorded also at Lichfield the Close. In both cases recorded as Elizabeth Stockley, not Isabella. Note that 1 Aug 1729 at Abbots Bromley an Elizabeth Stockley married a William Budworth. So it looks like the priest wrote up his records after the date and mixed up the names. Elizabeth Stockley was from Hamstall Ridware, under 5 miles away. In any case, James and Isabella were the right names, as subsequent baptism records show. children with Isabella: Isabella died 22 Aug 1748, a week following the birth of her daughter Ann. d 16 May 1753 at Abbots Bromley. |
