Census returns indicate that Ruhama, clearly an invented name, was born around 1856 at Bilston, Staffs. At GRO there is no suitable name registered in the time period and with mother's name Perry or Griffiths. The nearest name registered at GRO appears to be Amelia Johnson, born 4Q1855, registered at Walsall, mother's name Griffiths, but checking the birth certificate, it is not her.
In 1861, she was living at Willenhall, Wolverhampton, with parents John and Ann Johnson, and half-sister Martha b1849 at Bilston Staffs.
