Shared note

b 1811 at Coleorton, bp 19 May 1811 at Coleorton. I am pretty sure the priest made a mistake in transcribing the parents' names. He wrote them as "William and Mary", but they should have been "William and Sarah". This probably happened because the same day 19 May 1811 there were 2 christenings, the other was a child of William and Mary Wade. So the priest had already written William and Mary for the first child, and subconsciously wrote the same names again for the second. Furthermore, there is no trace of any William and Mary Johnson in the local area at that time.
John was a witness at the wedding of his sister Lydia in 1833, as was his brother Abraham. Both brothers signed their names.
Married Ann Perry nee Griffiths 7 Jul 1851 at Wolverhampton.
Father of Ruhama Johnson (b1855 at Bilston, Staffs).
1861: living at Spring Vale St, Willenhall, with wife Ann Griffiths, step-daughter Martha Perry and daughter Ruhama.
1871: living at Short Heath, Willenhall, with wife Ann Griffiths.
1881: living at 91 Elmore Green Rd, Walsall, with wife Ann Griffiths, and grandson John Stuart b1877 at Bestwood Notts, eldest son of William Stuart and Ruhama Johnson.
After that, don't know what happened to him. The death 3Q1881 at Walsall, registered at West Bromwich, was not him.
