Shared note

Profession: Tailor.
Born 9 Nov 1861 at Derby, ref: Derby Oct-Dec 1861, 7b 387
Baptised 30 Aug 1866 at Riddings, together with younger brother Daniel Richard, and half brother George Latham.
Married 27 Dec 1884 to Mary Anne Newton, ref Derby 7b 871.
At the time of his marriage, he was apparently living in Great Ponton nr Grantham, Notts - perhaps he had been working there, as in 1881 census he was living in Derby at 61 Leonard St as a Tailor's apprentice. Leonard St no longer exists, it was between Hartington St and Grove St, where now there is Adler Walk. It was not too far from 62 Forester St, which was the first major road on the left going down Green Lane, where Thomas and new wife Mary were living in 1891. Mary's parents John and Phoebe were living next door at 64 Forester St, with children Lily 21, Harry 18, John 16, David 14, Albert 12
In 1911, living in 99 Abbey St, Derby with wife Mary and son Lawrence.
In 1939, now widowed, still living at 99 Abbey St.
Died 22 Oct 1947, Derby, ref 3e 198, probate to Richard Alfred Newton Goodall (civil servant) and Richard Leslie Goodall (farmer, son of Samuel Goodall and Elizabeth Fell).
Thomas is buried in Nottingham Rd Cemetery with his wife Mary. To find grave, enter main cemetery through the arches, turn left, follow path as it descends and turns slightly to the right. Grave is on right hand side close to the path (I found it by chance 14 July 2018 walking up from Reginald Rd entrance).
