Shared note

Baptised 13 Apr 1770 at Ashover, parents Richard and Phebe.
Married 28 Nov 1796 at Sutton cum Duckmanton to Ann Revill.
Died 2 Jun 1849 at Hay, Ashover, buried 5 Jun 1849. His daughter Elizabeth attended the death, which was from natural causes. He was living in Milltown Hay, Ashover, at that time.

Here follows reasoning about dates, which was carried out around 2010, before obtaining the certificates in 2018.
At the time of his marriage in 1796, George Goodall was living in the parish of Ault (Halt) Hucknall, about 8 miles SE of Chesterfield. His wife Ann Revill was from the parish of Sutton Cum Duckmanton, where she and George were married 28 November 1796. Banns were read 6 Nov 1796, 13 Nov 1796, 20 Nov 1796. Sutton is about 6 miles north of Ault Hucknall.
There is no baptism record for the previous 50 years of any Goodalls in Ault Hucknall, so presumably George was just living there but not born there.
The Mormon records indicate that the marriage was 28 Nov 1797 (not 1796), at Sutton cum Duckmanton, but I would tend to believe 1796 is the true date, as Dad also saw the banns, which were for 6/11/1796, 13/11/1796 and 20/11/1796.
During the 1841 census, George Goodall and his wife Ann were living at Milltown, about 1 mile south of Ashover, Derbyshire, and 9 miles south of Chesterfield, and his age was given as 72. This would mean he was born in 1769. His wife Ann's age was given as 65, so she would be born in 1776. Subsequently, after discussing with Elizabeth Marrison, we have found a Hannah Revel, born 1774 in Sutton Cum Duckmanton, so I would presume this is "our" Ann Revill. She has siblings with the names variously Revill, Revil and Revel. Parents were John and Mary. Living with George and Ann during the 1841 census was their son Richard, born 1811, who did not marry and died in 1871. At one time, we thought he was our ancestor, but our ancestor was another Richard, born 23 Sep 1803.
