Shared note	Born about 1781, not sure where. The census of 1851 gives a place for her birth like "Labble", Derbyshire. Her marriage registration says she is from Ashover, but there is no real proof that she was born there. In the baptisms for Ashover circa 1780, there is no Sarah Green. There is a Hannah Green b 4 Feb 1780, father Laurence. There are no "Green" marriages in Ashover around the correct time for her to be born there, and no other siblings. The possibilities seem to be 1) that she was not born in Ashover, but moved there at the time of marriage. 2) She was a widow called Green, and her maiden name was something else. There are however, no Green deaths in Ashover just prior to her marriage in 1803. Married 24 Nov 1803 to Obadiah Slack, at Ashover. Looking at the names of her children, her husband's family names are not evident, no "Abraham", and the first "Mary" is her sixth child. So perhaps the names of her children come from her side, William, Charlotte, Jane, Ann, George. Buried 3 Jun 1860 at Ashover. Her gravestone indicates death at end of May, but is not legible.
